Responsibilities:

Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a school setting under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)

Implement individualized treatment plans and interventions to help students achieve their goals and improve functional abilities

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' participation and progress in the academic environment

Conduct assessments, gather data, and maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress

Adapt and modify activities, equipment, and environments to promote students' independence and engagement
-
Provide guidance and education to parents, teachers, and staff regarding strategies and techniques to support students' occupational therapy needs
Qualifications:
-
Valid Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting, preferred

Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, practices, and techniques

Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and goals

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other team members

Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills to address diverse student needs and changing situations
