Responsibilities:
Provide visionary leadership to the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and resident-centered care
Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and medical standards
Recruit, hire, and mentor nursing staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment
Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures, ensuring effective and efficient clinical operations
Conduct rounds to ensure resident safety and quality of care, addressing concerns and coordinating interventions as needed
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices
Foster a culture of open communication, transparency, and accountability within the nursing team
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing Administration or a related field
Current, unencumbered State of Rhode Island RN license
Current CPR certification
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities with professionalism and tact
Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented
