Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling with accuracy while managing POS systems
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling and preparation activities
- Assist in food service tasks such as serving baked goods or light snacks to enhance customer experience
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food preparation and serving
- Experience in retail or food service environments is advantageous
