Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times.
- Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with precision, ensuring correct transactions and balanced registers.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking, while ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws and safety protocols.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down bar areas for events like banquets or catering functions, ensuring smooth operations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to coordinate food and beverage service during busy shifts or special events.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry and sales processing.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Excellent customer service abilities to create welcoming environments in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Experience in the food industry or hospitality sector, including restaurant experience or retail math skills for cash handling accuracy.
- Familiarity with serving techniques in nightclubs or catering environments; previous banquet experience is a plus.
- Basic math skills for quick calculations related to sales, tips, and change management; understanding of brewing processes is advantageous.
