POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery, equipment, and systems in accordance with safety, quality, and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose machine malfunctions using tools and technical manuals.
- Install new machinery or equipment and ensure proper operation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
- Assist with facility maintenance including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to support production goals.
- Ability to train other maintenance techs when applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to perform each essential duty daily.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, ideally diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools, welding, and fabrication a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights or weekends, or holidays as needed.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 65 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.
- Physically fit to work in an industrial environment and tolerate exposure to varying physical conditions.
- Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools, equipment, and safety devices.
- Tolerance to loud noises, vibrations, dust, heat, and fumes within a fabrication shop environment.
- Ability to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) includes safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, high visibility clothing, and hearing protection.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Industrial warehouse and manufacturing environment with heavy machinery, and overhead cranes.
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and use of PPE is mandatory at all times.
- Frequent interaction with production staff, supervisors, safety personnel, and quality control teams.
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, depending on seasonal conditions.
