Duties
- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative learning technology and instructional design principles
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, autism, developmental delays, or visual impairments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring specialized support
- Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management techniques, creating a safe and inclusive environment for all learners
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy, music therapy, and recreational therapy to enhance student engagement and progress
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing observations; provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Mentor and support fellow educators by sharing best practices in early childhood education, preschool experience, Montessori methods, or toddler care
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in classroom settings, including preschool or early childhood education environments
- Strong knowledge of special education strategies, including speech therapy, literacy education, math instruction, and behavioral health management
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital resources used in instructional design and lesson planning
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and support staff
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges using compassionate approaches such as behavioral management or communication skills training
- Relevant certifications in teaching or special education; additional training in applied behavior analysis or speech therapy is a plus
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere
