Nashville Fertility Center is a state-of-the-art reproductive health care facility serving patients across Tennessee and the surrounding states. The Fertility Nurse works closely with physicians and nurse practitioners to provide individualized patient care, including bloodwork, treatment protocols, cycle monitoring, medication management, and fertility procedures.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage sensitive patient situations with professionalism and compassion. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, are essential.
This role requires working one Saturday every two months and one holiday per year (holiday rotation includes the day after Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
· Implement diagnostic and treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
· Perform intrauterine inseminations.
· Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with in-office procedures.
· Coordinate care between providers and patients to optimize the patient experience.
· Deliver patient care in accordance with clinic protocols, workflows, and charting standards.
· Communicate with patients via email, telephone, and portal regarding medications, treatment plans, testing, lab results, and general inquiries.
· Provide emotional support to patients, address concerns, and ease anxieties throughout treatment.
· Communicate laboratory, semen analysis, and genetic results in a timely and compassionate manner.
· Document all patient care accurately and promptly in the EMR system, ensuring compliance with legal and policy standards.
· Support orientation and mentoring of new staff and foster collaborative teamwork across departments.
· Provide coverage at other NFC locations as needed to ensure patient care and clinic operations.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
· BS in Nursing and active RN license required.
· Current BLS certification required.
· 2–3 years’ experience in women’s healthcare preferred.
· Availability to work a minimum of 32 hours per week, including weekdays, weekends, and rotational holidays.
· EMR experience preferred.
· Strong listening, counseling, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
· Collaborative approach to working with patients and healthcare professionals.
