Job Summary
Gentle Touches Home Health Care is looking for a caring and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver in-home nursing services to medically fragile pediatric patients from birth through age 21. Our goal is to provide high-quality, family-focused care that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of children within their home environment.
We are seeking dedicated nurses who are passionate about working with children and committed to supporting patients with complex medical conditions. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling based on client needs and authorized care hours.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to medically fragile pediatric patients who require assistance with daily healthcare needs, feeding support, and ongoing health monitoring. The RN will collaborate closely with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes while delivering compassionate, individualized care in the home setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes
- Observe, evaluate, and document patient health conditions
- Provide feeding assistance, including G-tube and other specialized feeding methods when required
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Support patients with daily healthcare and medical needs
- Create, implement, and maintain individualized care plans
- Provide education and guidance to parents and caregivers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and state requirements
- Report changes in patient condition to physicians and other healthcare team members
- Promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive home care environment
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- At least one year of nursing experience preferred
- Pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred
- Required experience working with medically fragile children ages 21 and under
- Excellent assessment, clinical judgment, and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently in a home healthcare setting
- Must successfully pass a background check before employment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with G-tube care, feeding pumps, and enteral feeding
- Understanding of pediatric growth and developmental needs
- Experience caring for children with medically complex conditions

Additional Employment Requirement

Pay: $40.00 per hour
