Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a per diem basis. This role offers flexible, as-needed scheduling and is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy while delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, coordination, and cognitive skills
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve independence and safety in daily activities
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, adaptive strategies, and equipment use
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current Texas Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility)
Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to varying patient needs
Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred
Employment Type
Per Diem: Flexible, as-needed scheduling
The starting hourly rate is $55.00 with adjustments made in accordance with the candidate’s experience level
