Minor & Jester, P.C. is seeking an experienced paralegal to support our Probate, Guardianship, and Trust Administration practice. This position works directly with attorneys, fiduciaries, clients, courts, financial institutions, and medical providers to manage probate, guardianship, trust administration, and related litigation matters from opening through closing.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing deadlines, and capable of handling significant client contact and responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Independently draft probate, guardianship, trust administration, and fiduciary litigation pleadings, applications, inventories, accountings, annual reports, notices, discovery requests and responses, fee applications, and proposed orders, subject to attorney review.
- Manage matters from opening through closing, including e-filing, issuance and service of citations, hearing settings, calendaring, deadline management, and compliance with court requirements.
- Review and organize financial records, deeds, account statements, and other documentation necessary for asset collection, fiduciary reporting, and court filings.
- Communicate with clients, courts, fiduciaries, financial institutions, and other third parties regarding case status, information gathering, and administration matters.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum two years of law firm experience, including either:
- Two years of probate, guardianship, or trust administration experience; or
- Two years of litigation assistant, legal assistant, or paralegal experience involving drafting, discovery, court filings, and deadline management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software platforms.
- Familiarity with Texas e-filing procedures.
- Professionalism, discretion, and strong attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience with fiduciary accountings, inventories, annual reports, and financial record review in probate, guardianship, or trust administration matters.
- Experience with PracticePanther or similar case management software.
- Paralegal certificate and/or college degree.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,724.22 per year
