Duties
- Assist in the preparation and setup of formwork and rebar installation according to blueprint specifications and construction plans.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and hand tools to facilitate concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and sealing tasks.
- Assist concrete finishing techniques such as smoothing, finishing and troweling to achieve high-quality surfaces.
- Ability to give full attention to what others are saying to ensure precise placement of formwork and reinforcement materials.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while adhering strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocols.
- Support concrete cutting operations using specialized tools.
- May be required to perform tasks from other job descriptions.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects involving concrete installation, formwork construction, or related trades.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools such as power saws, drills, mixers and hand tools used in concrete work.
- Ability to be flexible and change at a moment's notice.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety regulations specific to construction workplaces.
- Experience with rebar installation, concrete pouring and finishing techniques.
- Demonstrated understanding of construction site safety practices including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
- Must possess a valid and clean driver's license.
- Strong physical stamina for working outdoors in various weather conditions; ability to work efficiently with power tools and hand tools for extended periods. Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
