Under the general supervision of a higher classified employee, provides varied, responsible, and independent office administrative, programmatic, and staff support to management staff and executive leadership, which require some independent judgment. Provides training and supervision to interns and temporary support staff. Performs related work as assigned.
Receives, screens and routes telephone calls for the Elected Prosecutor and Chief Assistant Prosecutor, exercising discretion in the release of information and method and priority of handling. Schedules meetings and appointments.
Receives, screens and routes correspondence, reports and information for the Prosecuting Attorney, Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Conviction Integrity and Expungement Unit Coordinator/Director, and other staff, exercising judgment as to importance and priority.
Coordinates and provides office support and related work for the department resolving problems and advising the Elected Prosecutor and Chief Assistant Prosecutor of matters requiring attention; provides specific office administrative support to the department leadership.
Coordinating and scheduling external events for the Prosecuting Attorney, Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Conviction Integrity and Expungement Unit Coordinator/Director, or any other member of the Prosecutor's Office
Prepares a variety of correspondence, reports, forms, and specialized documents, of both sensitive or confidential and routine natures from drafts, notes or brief instructions; composes standard correspondence or other materials independently.
Provide administrative assistance to the Conviction Integrity and Expungement Unit, Economic Justice Unit, and other office programs by supporting community outreach strategies to connect with community members seeking assistance including identify and planning events across the county and other methods of external communication.
Confers with and represents the department in meetings with County staff from other departments, representatives of other governmental agencies and business, professional and community groups, vendors and the public.
Participates on County committees and in professional development activities.
Provides liaison and staff support to a variety of committees and commissions.
Analyzes alternatives and makes recommendations regarding such matters related to office programs and policy.
Determines analytical techniques and information-gathering processes and obtains required information and data for analysis.
Prepares a variety of technical, statistical and narrative reports, correspondence and other written materials.
Discusses findings with Elected Prosecutor and leadership and assists in implementing changes resulting from studies and analyses.
Tracks, oversees, and supports the application for, federal, state, and philanthropic grants that support the mission of the Prosecutor's Office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Identifying appropriate grant opportunities; Coordinating meetings with external partners regarding grant opportunities; Tracking potential grants and awarded grants, including updating grants matrix, tracking due dates for grant applications, and tracking compliance requirements for awarded grants; Working with community partners and the Prosecutor's Office to draft grant applications including narratives, budgets, and letters of support.
Prepares, processes and may administer grant funded projects and similar endeavors.
Develops and executes communications strategy.
Regularly receives and routes media inquiries.
Manages all office social media accounts including planning, developing content, and posting.
Maintains office website.
Oversees hiring and management of volunteer and paid interns and temporary staff on a project or day-to-day basis.
Has programmatic responsibility in a specified service delivery or internal support area as assigned.

Equivalent to possession of a Bachelor's degree with major coursework or experience in a field related to the work.
A minimum of one year of administrative and executive support experience involving office management, scheduling, administrative assistance, and coordination duties.
Knowledge and experience in fundraising operations, including especially (1) institutional and individual donor research, and (2) funder relationship-building/maintenance.
Knowledge and experience creating and facilitating external communications, with particular preference for experience in social media-based and web-based external communication.
Experience in a criminal-justice, or criminal justice-adjacent, organization
