Duties
- Execute creative, the provided developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children.
- Assist with daily classroom activities that promote early childhood development, including language skills, motor skills, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor each child's progress, especially in areas like special education needs or early intervention programs.
- Prepare activities that incorporate hands-on learning experiences and support classroom management goals.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience in curriculum execution with a focus on literacy education.
- Proven classroom management skills to foster an organized, inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and external specialists.
- Experience in daycare or private school environments is preferred; certification in early childhood education is highly desirable.
