Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Take customer orders with enthusiasm, upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience, and handle cash register operations with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food prep areas, dining zones, and food handling stations, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Manage food service customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and excellent service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation tasks, including slicing, toasting, and assembling ingredients.
- Uphold food safety standards by practicing proper sanitation procedures, handling food responsibly, and monitoring cleanliness throughout shifts.
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred; culinary or café experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in processing transactions.
- Strong time management skills are essential for balancing multiple tasks during busy hours.
- Demonstrated ability in food handling, safety management, and sanitation practices ensures compliance with health regulations.
- Customer service experience is vital for creating positive interactions that encourage repeat visits.
- Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling, giving correct change, and managing sales accurately.
- Prior retail sales or cashiering experience will support your success in operating registers smoothly while upselling menu items.
