Job Description:
Industry: Tobacco Manufacturing & Distribution
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time
SUMMARY
Operates high-speed machineries for the manufacture of cigarettes in a world-class FDA regulated manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Follow all documented procedures to ensure employee safety and product quality.
- Setting up machine for production. Feed raw materials on machine.
- Control and adjust machine settings, and performs minor mechanical adjustments.
- Perform inspection of products at regularly scheduled intervals.
- Accurately and legibly completes paperwork following Good Documentation Practice.
- Maintain the work area clean and organize which includes sweeping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Clean and wash machine parts at scheduled times.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Adheres to GMPs and OSHA regulations
- Other duties as assigned.
- Note: This is a rotating shift, one week 5:30am to 2:00pm and the following week 2:30pm to 11:00pm *
Qualifications and Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
- Minimum of two (2) years related experience as a machine operator
- Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and hand tools
- Computer literate
- Attention to detail
- Bilingual English/Spanish – Spanish REQUIRED
