SENIOR CONTROLS / AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Position Overview:
Seeking Senior Controls / Automation Engineers with 5+ years of hands-on industrial manufacturing experience designing, programming, integrating, and commissioning automated production systems. Ideal candidates will come from systems integrators, machine builders, automation engineering firms, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Siemens PLC programming is a MUST. Candidates must be capable of developing PLC programs from scratch, not simply troubleshooting or making minor modifications to existing programs. FANUC robot integration experience is also strongly preferred.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of industrial controls / automation experience
- Siemens PLC programming – MUST HAVE
- TIA Portal and/or Step 7
- Ability to program PLCs from scratch
- FANUC robot integration experience
- PLC-to-robot communication and I/O integration
- Automated manufacturing / production equipment experience
- Machine controls, sequencing, interlocks, alarms, and HMI development
- Electrical schematic and I/O drawing interpretation
- Hands-on machine startup, commissioning, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Experience working with systems integrators, machine builders, or industrial automation environments
- Ability to work independently from controls development through commissioning
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required

Compensation: Pay is flexible and will be based on the candidate's overall skill set, Siemens programming depth, FANUC/robot integration experience, and commissioning background.
