Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to enhance their experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating beverage service expertise
- Upsell menu items and drink specials to maximize sales while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments through POS systems while maintaining balanced cash drawers
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Support food preparation and kitchen staff when needed, including basic food handling and sanitation practices
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service enhances guest interactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus for managing guest seating efficiently
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail in order accuracy and cleanliness
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
