Overview
At all levels, our Cost Analyst will utilize and enhance their skills in cost estimating and analysis by supporting programs related to the development and acquisition of space vehicles for various legacy programs of the DOD and Intelligence communities. The support and expertise you provide will directly impact the objectives of our national defense and security.

The Cost Analyst will:
Utilize Software Cost Estimating, Parametric and Analogy Estimating, Data Collection and Normalization, Model Development, Method Development (multivariate regression analysis, risk analysis using Monte Carlo tools, and cost improvement curve analysis
Possess, experience with Launch System Cost Estimating,
Performs a variety of analytical tasks in support of Major US Government Acquisition programs.
Provides technical and operational leadership to assigned project or task deliverables.
Writes and updates Estimate documentation including inflation assumptions, risk and uncertainty, work breakdown structures, and base year and then year results.
Monitors and updates cost performance against plans to ensure that cost and schedule objectives are met.
Interacts regularly with customers and other industry representatives to ensure information is exchanged.
Could be required to learn and incorporate data analytic tools into recurring analysis (R, Python, Tableau).
Salary Range: $90,000 - $150,000/Year, DOE

Clearance:
Desired: Active Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance and ability to pass a Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph.
Required: Active TS with ability to upgrade to SCI and pass a Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph is required.
Education:
Ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Operations Research, Cost Analysis, Math, Finance, Economics or Business Administration with 0-9 years related experience
Bachelor’s Degree with 0-11 years related experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 4-15 years Space Systems experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, Economics, Cost Analysis, Finance, Business Administration, or Operations Research is desired but not required.
Skills:
The TS/SCI cleared Cost Estimator/Analyst shall provide support to customer operating locations, with portfolio managers, and with Program Control Support staff as specified by the Customer.
Prefer experience working program at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), or other Federal Government Agencies.
NRO/DoD acquisition and Space Systems experience is a plus.
Certification in cost estimating by a recognized professional society/educational organization is also desired, but not required.
Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
Strong understanding of system development, system engineering, subsystem technical relationships, engineering trades, and technology development and risk and system maturity.
Proficiency in performing cost estimating activities such as cost analysis, statistical analysis, WBS development, and risk analysis.
Proficiency in the use of M/S office applications, i.e., M/S Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
Familiarity with cost estimating principles/DoD acquisition policies.
Working knowledge of the DoD acquisition and project management process
Knowledge of the DoD Budget cycle and quantitative analytic techniques are highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
