The Housing Authority of the City of Brunswick (BHA) provides quality, affordable housing assistance programs to low-income families residing in Brunswick and Glynn County, GA, and administers the following programs: Low Income Public Housing; Capital Fund Program; Housing Choice Voucher Program; and Business Activities including privately owned apartments, and participation in joint venture and tax credit property.
BHA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time Receptionist. Under direct supervision of the Executive Assistant this position is responsible for providing clerical and receptionist support for agency operations
- Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance on agency programs and services; takes messages; refers to appropriate agency staff.
- Sorts and distributes payments and other correspondence received in the drop box.
- Maintains the confidentiality of client information.
- Gathers documents and information for different departments as needed.
- Proofreads documents and identifies errors for correction.
- Maintains inventory of forms and informational documents and distributes to visitors.
- Accepts mail from mail carrier and delivery driver.
- Performs related duties.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma supplemented by one year of previous experience and/or training in clerical support and customer service; any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Compensation and Benefits
This part-time position offers a starting hourly rate of $15.63. Employees are eligible to accrue both sick leave and vacation leave.
