Scope of the position
The Warehouse Shipping Clerk assists in the daily material movement and organizational functions of the warehouse. Handling of all requests and returns of inventory equipment, tools and supplies in a timely manner is essential to meeting customer demand and fulfills the vision of Roytec Industries.
Responsibilities of the position
* Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
* Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment daily
* Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments and verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
* Affixes shipping labels on boxes identifying shipping information
* Enter / confirm all material transactions into 4th Shift database.
* Assist Receiving Department as needed
* Pass and maintain forklift certification and skill for Roytec Industries
* Pass, renew and maintain all safety requirements and certifications required
* Ensure all quality system procedures applicable to your area are followed.
* Champion and follow the 5S organizational system and within your area
* Any other task as directed by management and overtime / weekends may be required with short notice
* Report and safety hazards and incidents immediately to the appropriate department and first responder team if necessary
Academic & trade qualifications
* High School Diploma
* A Successful work history that demonstrates commitment and dependability
* Forklift experience preferred
* Pass Roytec forklift certification
* 2-3 years experience in warehousing with shipping and receiving or similar position
* Basic computer skills
* Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, pull and lift up to 80 lbs.
*Warehouse environment, temperatures may vary.
* All employees must pass a drug test and background check
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
