Job Description: Construction Foreman

Pay: Hourly - $25.00+/hr. depending on experience
Position Summary
The Construction Foreman is responsible for supervising and participating in the completion of various construction and site development projects. This position leads a field crew, ensures safety compliance, coordinates daily work activities, and maintains project quality and productivity standards while actively working alongside crew members in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction crew members on job sites.
- Perform and assist with dirt work, grading, excavation, trenching, site preparation, concrete work and general construction activities.
- Oversee concrete pours, forming, finishing, reinforcement placement, and curing processes.
- Operate and assist with heavy equipment, power tools, and construction machinery as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with OSHA, company, and project standards.
- Conduct daily safety meetings, job briefings, and hazard assessments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications.
- Monitor work quality and ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Communicate with project managers regarding project progress.
- Train and mentor crew members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and construction practices.
- Maintain accurate records including daily reports, and equipment inspections.
- Perform manual labor and assist crew members as needed to complete tasks.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to coordinate work activities and tasks.
- Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and standards of conduct, demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3–5 years of experience in construction, excavation, dirt work, utility work, or related fields.
- Prior leadership or crew lead experience preferred.
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, placement, and site preparation required.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and fall protection.
- Hiring is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, climb, kneel, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at significant heights and in physically demanding environments.
