Part-Time Pharmacist
Hidenwood Pharmacy, Inc. is an independent family-owned pharmacy located in Newport News, Virginia. We have been serving the community since 1957 with personalized and professional care. We are looking for a part-time pharmacist to join our team and help us provide quality care, medications, and immunizations to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications, counsel patients, and monitor drug therapy
- Provide immunization services to eligible patients, such as flu shots and vaccines for Shingles, Tdap, RSV, and Penummococcal
- Review and verify prescriptions, orders, and labels
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and interns
- Manage inventory of drugs and supplies and order as needed
- Maintain records and reports according to pharmacy standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other health care providers and public health agencies
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent
- Pharmacist license in Virginia
- Immunization certification from an accredited program
- Previous experience in immunization services preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule and availability to work evenings and weekends
