Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Finishing / Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves performing precise assembly and finishing tasks to ensure the highest quality standards are met across our production line. The successful candidate will play a vital role in transforming raw components into finished products, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting continuous process improvements. Duties
- Assemble mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments according to technical drawings and production documentation.
- Perform finishing tasks such as polishing, sanding, and surface treatments to meet quality specifications.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely for material handling and component movement.
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions accurately to ensure proper product assembly.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to manual handling procedures.
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements in assembly procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with safety standards in production environments.
- Collaborate with manufacturing management and team members to meet production targets efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven factory or manufacturing facility experience, preferably in assembly or finishing roles.
- Familiarity with manufacturing management systems and interpreting production documents.
- Mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and understanding warehouse procedures is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments, including lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and apply mechanical assembly techniques.
- Good manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and process improvement initiatives.
- Effective communication skills suitable for managing production or assembly teams.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and continuous improvement practices.
