Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Second Story Thrift Assistant Manager to join our team! Responsibilities
- Assist the store manager in supervising daily store activities, including sales, merchandising, and customer service.
- Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management to ensure high levels of employee engagement.
- Oversee inventory control processes such as stocking, pricing, purchasing, and inventory management to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage.
- Manage cashiering operations including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system usage, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional displays to attract customers and increase store visibility.
- Support shift management by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth store operations during all hours of operation.
- Maintain a welcoming environment by providing excellent customer service, addressing inquiries promptly, and resolving issues professionally.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant management roles with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy retail setting.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers, team members, and vendors alike.
- Proficiency in retail math for pricing strategies, sales tracking, and budgeting purposes.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, POS technology, and bookkeeping practices.
- Ability to lead through influence with leadership qualities such as motivation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Pay: $22.69 - $26.00 per hour
