Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN (as-needed) CNA/In-home Aide to join our team, providing exceptional care to individuals in their homes. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities accurately
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely and effectively
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living environment
- Support clients with transportation to medical appointments or community activities when needed
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification or equivalent licensure required; prior experience in assisted living or nursing home settings preferred
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in home health environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and vital signs measurement
- CPR certification required; additional training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care is a plus
- Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently for documentation purposes
- Experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and performing catheter or wound care preferred
- Strong communication skills and compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
