What You'll Do
As an Assistant Facilities Manager, you'll partner closely with the Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations, support employee development, strengthen client relationships, and ensure exceptional service across assigned parking facilities.
Operations Leadership
- Assist in overseeing daily operations of assigned parking facilities.
- Support staffing, scheduling, training, and operational execution.
- Ensure locations operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with LAZ standards.
- Help coordinate event operations and special projects.
- Support opening, onboarding, and launch activities for newly assigned locations.
- Communicate with local law enforcement and emergency management agencies, as needed.
- Assist with market surveys, operational assessments, and new business opportunities.
Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop frontline employees, Supervisors, and Team Leads.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.
- Identify high-potential employees and support career growth opportunities.
- Conduct training, coaching, and performance discussions.
- Support labor relations and collective bargaining compliance where applicable.
- Create an environment that encourages communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions.
- Review labor costs, operational expenses, and performance metrics.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Help maximize revenue while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operational reports.
Client & Customer Relations
- Build and maintain strong client partnerships.
- Ensure contractual obligations and service expectations are consistently met.
- Support customer satisfaction initiatives and service recovery efforts.
- Assist with client retention and business growth strategies.
Business Support & Strategic Initiatives
- Participate in site evaluations, transitions, and operational planning.
- Assist with implementation of new programs, policies, and operational initiatives.
- Lead or support special projects that contribute to the success of the operation and region.
- Be available to support special events and operational needs as required.

Qualifications
Required
- 1–2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
- Experience leading teams in operations, hospitality, facilities, retail, service, transportation, or related industries.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with budgets, payroll, financial reporting, or P&L management.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, or special events.
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Parking management experience.
- Facilities, transportation, hospitality, event, or service-industry operations experience.
- Experience in a unionized environment or working with collective bargaining agreements.
- Multi-site or large-scale operations experience.
