Position Title: Assistant Superintendent

Position Summary:
Assist2Build, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Superintendent to support residential construction, repair, replacement, and closeout activities throughout Pasco County, Florida.
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent, Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, homeowners, and internal team members to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with company standards, program requirements, approved scopes of work, and applicable building codes.
This position is ideal for someone with residential construction experience who understands field coordination, jobsite organization, subcontractor communication, quality control, scheduling support, and punch list completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations across active residential construction projects in Pasco County.
Support the coordination of subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal field staff.
Monitor jobsite progress and help ensure work is being completed according to approved scopes, plans, specifications, and company expectations.
Perform routine site visits to review work quality, jobsite conditions, safety, cleanliness, and project readiness.
Assist with scheduling and sequencing of construction activities to help keep projects moving efficiently.
Identify field issues, delays, deficiencies, material needs, or trade conflicts and communicate them promptly to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
Assist with punch list creation, tracking, and completion.
Verify that subcontractors are completing assigned work properly and professionally.
Communicate respectfully and professionally with homeowners, applicants, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members.
Assist with documenting jobsite progress through photos, notes, reports, and updates as required.
Help maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites.
Support project closeout activities, including final inspections, quality checks, homeowner concerns, and completion documentation.
Assist with material coordination, delivery tracking, jobsite readiness, and field logistics.
Ensure company standards are represented professionally in the field at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, reconstruction, rehabilitation, repair, or related field work preferred.
Prior experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Supervisor, Lead Carpenter, Construction Coordinator, or similar role is preferred.
General understanding of residential construction practices, building materials, trade sequencing, and jobsite coordination.
Ability to read and understand scopes of work, basic construction plans, work orders, specifications, and project notes.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify incomplete, incorrect, or poor-quality workmanship.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with subcontractors, homeowners, inspectors, and internal staff.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects or jobsite priorities at one time.
Ability to document jobsite conditions, progress, deficiencies, and completed work through photos and written updates.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently in the field.
Ability to travel between jobsites throughout Pasco County and surrounding areas as needed.
Ability to work in varying Florida weather conditions and perform physical jobsite-related duties when necessary.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in residential disaster recovery, CDBG-DR, housing rehabilitation, reconstruction, repair, or replacement programs.
Experience with occupied residential construction projects.
Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and vendors across active jobsites.
Knowledge of permitting, inspections, code compliance, and construction closeout processes in Pasco County or surrounding Florida jurisdictions.
Experience with manufactured housing, mobile homes, modular housing, or storm-damaged residential properties.
Basic knowledge of OSHA safety practices and residential jobsite safety requirements.
Ability to troubleshoot minor field issues and recommend practical solutions.
Experience using construction software, project management platforms, photo documentation tools, or daily reporting systems is a plus.
Work Environment:
This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel to residential jobsites throughout Pasco County, Florida. Work may include active construction sites, occupied homes, manufactured housing units, modular homes, and properties undergoing repair, reconstruction, replacement, or closeout.
The Assistant Superintendent should be comfortable working around subcontractors, homeowners, inspectors, vendors, construction materials, tools, equipment, and active jobsite conditions.

Pay: $60,500.00 - $67,000.00 per year
