Position: Youth Development Professional/Van Driver
Location: Rockwall, TX
Reports To: Club Director
Responsible For: Member Development, Safety and Programs, Transport Youth to Club
Position Details:
Hourly Pay $11-$14 (Depending on experience)
Job Type: Daily Programming, Summer Camps, Driving Vans - Part-Time / Non-Exempt
Typical Hours: Monday-Friday 2:30pm to 6:30pm
Job Position Summary
The Youth Development Professional plays an important role in our members’ Club experience. They provide mentoring and program application for youth in the 5 core program areas of: The Arts, Sports and Recreation, Character and Leadership, Education and Career, & Health and Life Skills at a safe place during out of school time.
Objectives and Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize outcome driven programs.
- Teach members about and model good character and citizenship.
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment.
- Support and encourage all youth, regardless of skill.
- Teach new skills to members.
- Maintain an inventory of all program equipment and supplies in order.
- Participate in maintaining the Club House.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- MUST COMPLETE APPROXIMATELY 25 HOURS OF ONLINE PAID TRAINING.

- Must be able to learn and interpret Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Texas programs and philosophy.

- Participate as a passionate and motivated teammate who is willing to do what it takes, and problem solve.
- Provide outstanding customer service to all youth, parents, donors, volunteers, and community members that the Club has current and potential relationships with.
Qualifications Required
- Ability to follow directions and policies effectively.
- Demonstrated ability and interest in working with youth and teens.
- Ability to maintain records and complete forms.
- Ability to operate technical devices and software with applicable training.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems and safety concerns.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- CPR and First Aid Certifications (free of charge!) may be required.
- Clearance of a mandated background checks including fingerprinting.
- Bilingual a plus!
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid ID.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 29 per week
