Head Coach Position ~ Flag Football
The Head Coach contributes to our positive school culture by stressing academic accountability, behavioral responsibility, and personal commitment to excellence. Must possess the ability to develop players at all skill levels, be committed to building and sustaining a strong team culture grounded in personal responsibility, accountability, respect, and sportsmanship. Familiarity with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) principals and Spanish bilingualism a plus.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Valid Illinois teaching certificate or ASEP or NFHS certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Must have experience in a high school setting.
Expert knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures.
CPR/AED certified
Knowledge of CPS and IHSA rules, compliance policies, and regulations
Demonstrated ability to instruct and supervise student athletes
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
A minimum of two – three years of experience as an assistant varsity coach preferred.
Bilingual ability, in Spanish, a plus.
