American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a DC license, required certifications, and two years of acute care OR experience for a 9-week contract.

Work in an operating room setting within a hospital
-
10-hour day shifts, 0700-1730
-
On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays
-
No local candidates accepted within 50 miles of the facility
-
Active DC RN license in hand
-
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
-
Two years of recent acute care OR experience in a US hospital required
-
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
-
CPI certification mandated
-
BSN highly desired
-
Must provide Social Security Number, driver’s license, and two professional manager or supervisor references from the past twelve months
-
No pending license accepted for consideration

Responsible for scrubbing and circulating during operative procedures
-
Prepares the operating room, assembles equipment and supplies, and ensures all are functional and available

Coordinates with team members to assess, plan, and implement intraoperative care
-
Serves as a communication liaison for patients, families, and the surgical team

Adheres to standards and aseptic techniques

Holiday coverage required

Must comply with work environment mandates including COVID and flu vaccination requirements
