SUMMARY OF POSITIONThis is a seasonal junior pastry position and a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn and grow.
At Talbott & Arding you will work alongside talented and experienced pastry chefs in a highly regarded and modern pastry department.
The junior pastry cook will be trained to scale, mix, bake, cookies, muffins, scones, cakes, biscuits, confections and our award winning focaccia & crackers.
A successful person in this role is a collaborative team player with a passion for pastry and a dedication to the craft of baking.
This job requires an excellent written and verbal understanding of English as you will be working from recipes and the ability to follow directions.
You must be able to stand and work for shifts of 8 hours and be able to lift 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & PERKS
- Employment Classification: Seasonal, Full-time, 5 days a week, hourly
- Frequency of pay: Weekly
- Salary: $20 per hour plus share of Employee Bonus Fund
- Employee discount: 20% off retail purchases, excluding alcohol, 20% off catering purchases.
