Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that enhance the appearance and durability of our high end homes. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, plastering, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
- Execute a wide range of painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless and conventional spray methods), and construction spray painting on various surfaces.
- Use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment safely to reach high or difficult areas while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction schematics to accurately execute surface treatments in accordance with project specifications.
- Apply coatings such as stains, sealants, lacquers, and masonry coatings with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform surface preparation tasks like sanding rough areas, repairing damaged surfaces through plastering or masonry work, and ensuring surfaces are clean and dry before painting begins.
- Assist with residential projects by coordinating with carpenters for trim carpentry or fixture installation; support restoration efforts by matching colors using visual color comparison techniques.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, scaffolding materials; ensure all safety regulations are followed during every phase of work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in high end residential construction painting; familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings is essential.
- Must have extensive knowledge in staining/clear coating all types of wood.
- Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as sanding, caulking, plastering, masonry work; capable of working with hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects; ability to match colors accurately using visual comparison methods.
- Experience with various painting methods including brush painting, roller application, airless paint spraying (conventional or industrial) is highly desirable.
- Ability to safely operate ladders, scaffolding systems, lift equipment; adherence to safety regulations including respiratory protection protocols is mandatory.
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities; experience interpreting schematics or blueprints is a plus.
- Construction site experience preferred; familiarity with renovation projects or remodeling environments will be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with team members such as carpenters during projects.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
