Job Summary
We are hiring an Electronics Assembler III for a contract opportunity in Poway, CA supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced electronics assembler with required LRU assembly experience and strong proficiency building, repairing, and reworking Line Replaceable Units such as avionic modules, sensors, and electronic chassis.
In this position, you will support the production of advanced avionics and mission-critical electronic systems in a structured, quality-focused manufacturing environment. You will work with precision electronic assemblies, wiring, soldering, cable harnesses, PCBs, batteries, servo motors, and related components while following engineering drawings, specifications, and quality procedures.
This opportunity offers steady work, multiple shift options, and the chance to contribute to high-reliability aerospace products. The environment is team-oriented and production-focused, with opportunities to support lower-level assemblers, build technical depth, and work alongside experienced manufacturing professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems to engineering specifications.
- Build and integrate cables, wire harnesses, chassis, printed circuit boards, LRUs, batteries, panels, and servo motors.
- Perform hand soldering, wiring, crimping, component installation, and compression connections.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, assembly instructions, schematics, and wire lists.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, repair, and reassemble assemblies and subassemblies as required.
- Inspect and verify completed work to ensure compliance with quality, workmanship, and customer requirements.
- Location: Poway, CA.
- Shift options: 1st shift, 4:00 AM to 1:30 PM, or 2nd shift, 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
