Service Plumber
Lab Tested Plumbing is a locally owned and growing plumbing company serving Northeast Ohio. We are committed to professional service, quality workmanship, honest recommendations, and doing the job right the first time.
We provide our plumbers with consistent company generated leads, professional office and dispatch support, a fully equipped take home service van, and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with their customers. We are looking for an experienced service plumber who wants steady year round work, strong earning potential, and an opportunity to grow with the company.
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
- $35 to $45 per hour based on experience
- Commission automatically starts at 3%
- Commission increases based on revenue and performance KPIs, with the opportunity to earn up to 8%
- Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Approximately three to four company provided service calls per day
- Approximately one week of on call responsibility each month
- Overtime opportunities available as additional work comes up
- Full time, year round position
- Company provided take home service van
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Service Plumber to perform residential and light commercial plumbing service, repair, replacement, drain, sewer, and related plumbing work throughout Northeast Ohio.
The Service Plumber will diagnose plumbing problems, explain findings to customers, present appropriate repair and replacement options, and complete high quality work. All leads are provided by the company, allowing each plumber to focus on providing excellent service and building a customer base of homeowners who become familiar with and trust their technician.
We expect honest recommendations, quality workmanship, and professional service without high pressure sales tactics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform residential and light commercial plumbing service, repair, and replacement work
- Diagnose plumbing problems and clearly explain findings to customers
- Present appropriate repair and replacement options professionally and honestly
- Repair and install plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, water heaters, sump pumps, and related equipment
- Diagnose and service drain and sewer issues using appropriate tools and equipment
- Perform drain cleaning, camera inspections, and other sewer and drain services as trained and qualified
- Test completed work for leaks, proper operation, and code compliance
- Properly document service calls and completed work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service van
- Follow company procedures and provide a professional customer experience on every call
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous residential or commercial service plumbing experience
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, repairs, and installation practices
- Ability to diagnose plumbing problems and recommend appropriate solutions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely use plumbing tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to safely lift and carry tools and materials, use ladders, work in crawlspaces, and perform hands on plumbing work with or without reasonable accommodation
- Employment is contingent upon completion of a job related background check and motor vehicle record review
