Position Summary:
The Legal and Agency Placement Manager plays a critical role in working hand in hand with the Director of Outsourcing to manage outsourced collections, litigation, and specialized recovery processes. This is a dual-role position that encompasses administrative and operational functions while also requiring active participation in testifying in court and traveling for trials nationwide.
This role will utilize prior collections experience and is responsible for coordinating with law firms and agencies, maintaining records, and preparing exhibits required for suit. This position provides operational redundancy within the department, ensuring that vendor relationships, portfolio activity, and litigation support functions remain consistent, compliant, and fully supported.

Coordination and Communication
- Collaborate with the Director of Outsourcing in coordinating with law firms and agencies.
- Manage the performance of outside agencies and legal firms by tracking key performance indicators, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and addressing underperformance or non-compliance through timely follow-up and corrective actions.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with third parties including outside agencies and law firms.
Compliance and Documentation
- Support audits and reviews related to outsourced collections processes.
Administrative Support
- Organize meetings, prepare documents, and manage correspondence related to outside agencies and legal operations activities.
- Handle additional administrative tasks assigned by the Director of Outsourcing.
Records Management
- Update accounts with notes and status from outside agencies and law firms.
- Support data entry and quality assurance processes to maintain accurate records in the collections system.
- Review and execute affidavits, ensure accuracy and timely submission.
Litigation Trial Support and On-Site Audits (25%)
- Travel to various trial locations to testify as a witness for the company.
- Assist with various onsite audits for outside agencies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, or a related field required.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Conditional Formatting)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in vendor management, legal support, collections, or a related field. Experience working in collections is required.
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes and documentation requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with precision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in records management software.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, often on short notice.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
