What You'll Do
As a Medication Technician, you will:
- Safely administer medications in accordance with physician orders, California Title 22 regulations, and company policies.
- Accurately document medication administration and resident observations using our electronic health record system.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the Resident Care Coordinator and management.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, and mobility, when needed.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergency situations.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, pharmacies, hospice providers, home health agencies, families, and the care team.
- Maintain medication carts, treatment supplies, and medication rooms in a clean, organized, and survey-ready condition.
- Assist with medication ordering, receiving, inventory, narcotic counts, and medication room organization.
- Support and mentor caregivers by serving as a positive role model.
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

QualificationsPreferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medication Technician, Med Aide, Caregiver, CNA, or in an Assisted Living, Memory Care, or healthcare setting.
- Medication administration experience preferred.
- Knowledge of California Title 22 regulations.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Current Home Care Aide (HCA) registration or ability to obtain.
- Experience with electronic health records (ECP or similar software) is a plus.
