Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery and equipment to produce high-quality components and products. Duties
- Operate CNC Mazak machines, CN CNC programming tools to produce precision parts according to technical specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models to accurately produce parts.
- Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control devices to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Manage materials handling tasks including forklift operation for moving raw materials or finished goods within the manufacturing facility.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and technical skills.
- Support fabrication activities including welding, tooling setup, and fabrication of components as needed.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to maintain high standards of product integrity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine logs, inspection reports, and shift reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or CNC programming is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Mazatrol controls.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, and materials handling.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and CAD models confidently.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAM programming software, or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers for quality control purposes.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse or factory setting is desirable.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and inspection tasks.
- Hands-on factory experience in a manufacturing facility environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to work effectively on an assembly line or in fabrication environments while maintaining productivity goals.
