OneSparQ is seeking multiple skilled CMT Technicians to support our client's Central Texas division. Opportunities are available in Round Rock, Waco, and Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various tests on construction materials during active projects.
- Sample and test concrete from ready-mix trucks using wheelbarrows; report results to contractors to confirm if it meets specifications.
- Collect soil samples in buckets from areas that will be used as subgrade and send them to the lab.
- Perform pin and plate and nuclear density testing on road materials and report results to contractors.
- Perform asphalt density testing.
- Inspect rebar and site conditions before concrete placement for safety and compliance.
Required Skills:
- Speak, read, and write English; strong communication skills (email, phone, reporting)
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure and dial gauge
- Safety-focused mindset (strict adherence to safety rules, including no phone use while driving)
- ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I or 6+ months of materials testing/inspection experience
Additional Skills:
- TxDOT certifications (SB102 Asphalt, Level 1B)
- ICC, PTI, RT, PT, UT, VT, MT, ASNT, AWS certifications
