Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medication Aid (CMA), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, safe, and effective medication management for our residents. Hours: 6a-6p (3 12-hour shifts weekly) or 6a-2p and 6a-6p (2 12-hour shifts and 2 8 hour shifts weekly).

Duties
- Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all state healthcare regulations, HIPAA privacy laws, and medical documentation protocols
- Monitor residents’ vital signs, physical condition, and responses to medications, reporting any adverse effects promptly
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and feeding, especially for individuals with dementia or memory care needs
- Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) like Point Click Care, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy standards
- Support residents with tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized medical procedures under supervision or as trained
- Provide compassionate care
- Engage in safe handling techniques for heavy lifting or repositioning residents safely while prioritizing their comfort and safety
Experience
- Prior nursing home experience is highly desirable; experience working with individuals with diverse disabilities or in hospice care is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and geriatric patient care enhances your ability to deliver effective medication management
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Point Click Care; medical documentation skills are essential for accurate record keeping
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred
- Hands-on experience with medication administration, tube feeding, catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and safe lifting demonstrates your readiness for this role
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws ensures compliance while delivering respectful patient-centered care
- Previous work in home & community care environments or acute care settings provides valuable insight into diverse caregiving scenarios
