Overview
Whispering Willows Senior Dog Sanctuary is looking for a creative, dependable Social Media Assistant who is especially skilled in short-form video editing.
Whispering Willows is a nonprofit, 100% donation-funded senior dog sanctuary located in Hermitage, Missouri. We specialize in lifetime hospice, palliative, and end-of-life care for senior dogs, generally ages 12 and older.
Our seniors receive a safe, cage-free, loving home for the rest of their lives, along with full veterinary care, medications, dentals, bloodwork, prescription diets, quality food, and everything else they may need. Most importantly, they are surrounded by love until their last breath.
This position is completely remote and may be performed from any state. Applicants must have reliable access to a phone and computer.
About the Position
The primary focus of this role will be editing engaging short-form videos for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
We are looking for someone who understands that our content is about more than creating entertaining videos. Social media allows us to share our seniors’ stories, build relationships with our supporters, grow our community, and raise the donations needed to continue providing their care.
The right candidate will be able to take raw footage from the sanctuary and turn it into content that feels genuine, emotional, educational, or fun while remaining true to our voice and mission.
This is a full-time, Tuesday through Saturday position. Because we post throughout the day and our content needs can change quickly, applicants must have some flexibility within those scheduled days.
