Located in the heart of Nashville, Indiana, Mossy Rock is not your typical retail store. We’re a one-of-a-kind creative destination where visitors can roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty, and create something they can take home through our popular DIY Plant & Terrarium Bar. We also feature locally handcrafted pottery, unique gifts, plants, and a growing variety of creative experiences.

Mossy Rock Pottery & Plant Bar
Where plants, pottery, creativity, and a little bit of dirt make memories.
* What You’ll Do
At Mossy Rock, no two days are exactly alike. Our team members help create an experience—not just ring up a sale. You’ll have the opportunity to work with plants, pottery, creative projects, merchandise, and most importantly, our guests.
* Guest Experience & Plant Bar
- Welcome every guest with a friendly, enthusiastic attitude.
- Guide customers through their DIY plant and terrarium projects from start to finish.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on plant identification, selection, placement, and care.
- Help guests choose plants, containers, decorative materials, and accessories that work well together.
- Demonstrate proper planting techniques and answer customer questions.
- Encourage creativity while helping customers feel confident in creating something they’ll be proud to take home.
- Help create the fun, memorable experience that makes Mossy Rock different from a traditional retail store.
* Plant Care & Store Presentation
- Water, prune, clean, rotate, and maintain plants throughout the store.
- Monitor plants for pests, disease, damage, or other issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive Plant Bar.
- Restock plants, supplies, pottery, and merchandise as needed.
- Create and maintain eye-catching displays and seasonal merchandising.
- Help keep the store looking fresh, creative, and inviting throughout the day.
* Retail & Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist guests throughout their visit.
- Operate the checkout and accurately process cash, credit card, and other transactions.
- Check in, price, tag, and organize incoming merchandise.
- Answer phones and respond to basic customer questions.
- Assist customers with merchandise selection and gift ideas.
- Help package purchases and prepare items for customers to take home.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and help find solutions when needed.
* Daily Operations
- Complete opening and closing procedures.
- Perform light cleaning and maintain a neat, welcoming environment.
- Keep work areas, tables, displays, and customer spaces clean and organized.
- Restock supplies and notify management when inventory is running low.
- Assist with receiving shipments and organizing inventory.
- Follow store procedures for safety, plant care, cash handling, and customer service.
* Be Part of the Mossy Rock Team
- Assist with workshops, special events, Plant Bingo, and other creative experiences.
- Help set up and tear down special events and activities.
- Learn about Mossy Rock Pottery’s handcrafted pottery and other unique products so you can confidently share their stories with customers.
- Help promote upcoming events and experiences to guests.
- Work as part of a team to keep things moving during busy tourist periods.
- Be willing to jump in wherever needed—because at Mossy Rock, everyone pitches in!
- Bring ideas, creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to help us continue to grow.
