JOB
Olene Walker Elementary in Granite School District is seeking a part-time Reading Intervention support staff to lead small group literacy sessions for students needing extra help. The position runs from August 2025 through May 2026, up to 20 hours per week, under the guidance of the literacy coach and assistant principal. Ideal candidates are patient, passionate about teaching, and able to support students with behavioral needs to improve reading outcomes.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Pull small groups, work with the literacy coach to get training to lead the groups, work closely with the teachers to look at students' progress, and adjust the small group according to the needs of the student.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read, write, and speak well in English, bilingual skills a plus!

Desire to work with elementary age students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Serve as a positive role model and mentor.

Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
