Pig Latin is a high-energy Latin-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar in Elk Grove known for craft cocktails, strong hospitality, and a vibrant atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced Lead Bartender to help lead our bar program and support the continued growth of our team.
This is not an entry-level bartending position. We are looking for a seasoned bartender who can consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences, execute cocktails with precision, maintain high operational standards, and help set the tone for the rest of the bar team.
The ideal candidate is confident behind the bar, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in both hospitality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and attention to detail
- Deliver exceptional guest service and create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere
- Lead by example during service and help maintain high standards behind the bar
- Assist with training, coaching, and developing bartenders and bar support staff
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout the bar
- Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and bar organization
- Monitor product quality and ensure recipes and procedures are followed consistently
- Work closely with management to identify opportunities for operational improvement
- Support opening and closing procedures and ensure the bar is service-ready at all times

Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years bartending experience required
- High-volume restaurant or cocktail bar experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
- Experience with craft cocktail preparation and recipe execution
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
- Experience training or mentoring other bartenders is a plus
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required or ability to obtain
