Prepare meals according to posted menus and standardized recipes.
Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times.
Prepare and serve special/therapeutic diets accurately, ensuring correct implementation.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and kitchen facilities.
Meet scheduled meal times and assist with food service delivery as needed.
Open or close the kitchen and register area as assigned.
Comply with long-term care dietary regulations and hospital dietary policies.
Assist with inventory management: taking counts, receiving orders, storing food/supplies, and notifying the manager of shortages or issues.
Visit patients on self-select diets to help them place meal orders.
Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and residents' families.
Operate kitchen equipment safely, following all posted instructions and procedures.
Fill in and manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Nutrition Services Manager.
Complete assigned cleaning tasks and maintain a safe work environment.
PM Cook: Prepares café and kitchen area for morning crew.
AM Cook: Prepares and places café food in the hot food table for PM service.
Compensation- $16/hr +DOE
