Location: The Nash Casino - 310 Daniel Webster Highway - Nashua, NH
Hours: Full-time/Part-time: Variable Hours (swing shift/late-night shift) with Weekends and Holiday's required
Job Responsibilities
- Greet each guest according to service‑sequence standards, offering your name and assistance upon arrival.
- Engage guests with a friendly, upbeat personality and build rapport with Steakhouse patrons.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, guest check‑ins, and waiting lists using established reservation tools.
- Escort guests to their tables and introduce them to their Server.
- Monitor the dining room layout to maintain an efficient seating flow and support smooth service.
- Maintain knowledge of menus, promotions, specials, and entertainment offerings to answer guest inquiries.
- Complete opening, closing, and side‑work duties, including dining room setup, breakdown, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate with Servers, Bussers, and management to support service efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with training and mentoring new Team Members when requested.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must successfully pass all required background checks.
- Internal candidates must have at least six months in their current role and meet Transfer & Promotion Policy requirements.
- Must obtain and maintain all required work cards, alcohol awareness certifications, and non‑gaming registrations as required by local jurisdiction.
Physical/Mental Working Demands
- Ability to move throughout the dining room, host stand, and bar areas for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and balance as needed in a dining environment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and input information using reservation and POS systems.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and respond to visual and auditory cues.
- Work environment may include exposure to loud noise, guest chatter, overhead music, and areas where smoking is permitted.
- Manual dexterity required to operate phones, POS systems, and host tools.
- Requires hand–eye coordination and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
