Residential Youth Counselor - Looking for Full Time/Part Time/Overnight Shifts/As-Needed.
Casa Esperanza STRTP in Pomona provides community-based treatment for children ages 12 to 18. The children remain in our care until family reunification, foster care placement, or adoption. Our youth live in a safe, comfortable, and supportive home.
Job Description
- Provides care supervision, observation, protection and safety for all residents
- Administers discipline and sets limits for behavior of residents
- Supervises residents and participates in planned or directed activities of residents
- Participates in group counseling, treatment planning sessions and in service training
- Helps implement resident treatment plans (i.e., Needs and Services Plan) and directed activities
- Help residents develop interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Writes daily log narratives on residents and special incident reports, as required
- Dispense medication and performs minor first aid as needed
- Instructs residents in self-maintenance and life skills
- Helps residents develop interpersonal and communication skills
- Assist with food shopping, food preparation and cooking for residents
- Supervision and performance of various housekeeping chores
- Responsible for ensuring residents clothing linen and personal hygiene needs are met
- Responsible for performing daily and weekly quality assurance system checks to ensure the facility plant is maintained in a safe, clean and non-hazardous condition
- Provide transportation and responsible for care and maintenance of company vehicle
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- One-year full time paid residential facility experience, or its equivalent, working with client population to be served
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- California Driver’s License and good driving record
Salary: DOE, NON-EXEMPT, HOURLY
