Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall food service process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly and safely.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
- Assist in catering events as needed, providing excellent food service to guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is essential.
- Experience in food service or the restaurant industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling practices are required.
- Culinary experience or training is a plus but not mandatory.
