Ikon Electric Service is looking for an organized, upbeat, and dependable Customer Service Representative to help manage our daily service operations.
This position is the first point of contact for our customers and plays an important role in keeping our technicians productive, our schedule organized, and our customers informed. We are looking for someone who communicates professionally, stays calm when the day gets busy, and takes ownership of getting things done.
Experience in home services, dispatching, or customer service is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
What You’ll Do
- Answer incoming customer phone calls professionally and promptly
- Schedule service appointments based on customer needs and technician availability
- Assign and dispatch jobs to electricians
- Maintain an organized and efficient daily schedule
- Communicate appointment details and updates to customers
- Confirm appointments and notify customers when technicians are on the way
- Collect accurate customer, property, and job information
- Reschedule appointments when emergencies or delays affect the schedule
- Help technicians with schedule updates and customer information
- Follow up with customers regarding estimates, incomplete work, or additional appointments
- Enter and maintain accurate information in our service software
- Assist with general office and administrative responsibilities
- Help create an excellent customer experience from the first phone call through job completion
What We’re Looking For
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, confident, and professional phone presence
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple calls, appointments, and technician schedules
- Comfortable making decisions and adjusting the schedule throughout the day
- Dependable and able to arrive on time consistently
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, email, and text messaging
- Ability to stay calm and positive in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn about residential electrical services
- A team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Preferred Experience
- Customer service or call-center experience
- Dispatching or scheduling experience
- Experience with an electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or other home-service company
- Experience using Housecall Pro or similar field-service software
Home-service experience is preferred but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $19-$24 per hour, depending on experience
