Position Summary
Northville Public S chools i s seeking an innovative, collaborative, a nd strategic leader to s erve as its Director of
Technology . Reporting t o the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services a nd serving as a key member of
the district leadership team, the Director o f Technology is responsible for developing, i mplementing, and maintaining
a comprehensive technology program that supports the district's educational mission and operational goals.
The Director of Technology provides leadership for all aspects of district technology, including technology
infrastructure, cybersecurity, user support services, i nstructional technology i ntegration, data systems, and
large-scale technology initiatives. T he p osition oversees technology-related bond projects, capital improvements,
and strategic technology planning to ensure equitable, reliable, and future-focused technology resources f or
students and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
S trategic Leadership
Develop and implement a district-wide technology vision aligned with the Board of E ducation's goals and the
district's strategic plan.
- Lead long-range technology planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- M onitor e merging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that enhance teaching, learning, and
operational effectiveness.
- Serve as the district's primary technology advisor to district leadership and the Board of Education.
T echnology Infrastructure & Operations
Direct the p lanning, implementation, m aintenance, and security of all district technology infrastructure,
including networks, servers, wireless systems, telecommunications, cloud services, and data systems.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of technology systems across all district facilities.
- Oversee device lifecycle management for student, staff, and administrative technology resources.
