Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dishwasher to join our busy kitchen team. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment thoroughly following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, such as organizing supplies or prepping ingredients under supervision.
- Support the bussing team by clearing tables and removing used dishware to maintain cleanliness in dining areas.
- Follow all sanitation standards to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers and other cleaning tools.
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy loads of dishes or supplies safely and efficiently.
- Contribute to maintaining overall kitchen health and safety standards by adhering to protocols and reporting hazards promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is preferred.
- Experience with dishwashing or cleaning roles within restaurants, catering, or banquet settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations, including operating equipment like commercial dishwashers, is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and manual handling comfortably.
- A background in food handling or food safety standards helps ensure compliance with health regulations.
